Rain...Snow... Again?

Watch out FL - here we come!

Okay, when Utah can't get it's act together & warm up, I really want to move to a warmer climate! Last Sunday, there was snow falling - SNOW - in the end of April! *insert big fat sigh here*

I was able to snap this cool photo before the snow started, I was out working with clients on the South Jordan Parkway. I had no idea it was so pretty out there!

Which made me realize that I've already been here a few years & still haven't seen much of Utah. Don't get me wrong - I'm not about to go camping or anything (Ewww.. bugs & dirt). But I wouldn't mind seeing more of the canyons & mountains - of course, only if Eros can come!

Saying Goodbye...

There was a recent study done. It proved that "dog owners get the same surge of emotions when looking at their pooch as mothers do with their infants". But if your dogs are like children to you, then you already know this.

If you fall in that category, then you also know the feelings of pride, joy, & love that come with being a Pet Parent. We take dogs into our homes, and our hearts, with the promise that we will love, care and provide for them... always. And yet, there's one more emotion that comes with this role... grief. It's a heart-wrenching, gut-grabbing, sickening kind of grief. I suppose that's because our dog's play a role in our lives that no one else can. And when you say goodbye to a companion, you also say goodbye to the unique relationship you shared with just them.

On Tuesday evening, our big beautiful girl Eudora retired to bed early. She never got up from that slumber. Our time with her was short, but filled with the best kind of memories. I am grateful that we were able to give her the life she never had... the life she deserved. She was a beautiful girl, with a gentle heart and a goofy disposition. She came lumbering into our home with a silliness that offset Eros' seriousness, and as much as he protested her existence, there was more than once I caught him sharing with her, or even snuggling up to her.

She reminded me everyday why I love this breed so much. And now I am reminded just how precious every moment we share is.

She will be incredibly missed.

Okay, I've been lazy (look at the examples I have though - I know you're getting sleepy just looking at them)
So, I know I've been neglecting this blog for awhile. I'm really going to try and start posting regularly. Currently, I have four other blogs that I post on, and keeping up with them all has made me feel all blogged out.
